So what’s the STORY morning glory?

'One More Round' reminds me of being sick after a night of access drinking. Tastes bitter at first, but ultimately it is a very satisfying and needy experience.

Well, what I am trying to say, is that the new 'top dog' of the nefarious organisation known as 'The Hand', Sabertooth, is holding a party to celebrate his most recent achievement. Lady and Lord Deathstrike is there - mores the pity. So too is Jade Claw and her unhanded henchmen, Southstrike. Then, of course, there is the dashing Mystique, ready to strike a pose, plus the new Silver Samara as well. 

Oh! And a party isn't a party until everyone's favourite Canadian after Dan Aykroyd, Wolverine, shows up, and beats the living sh*t out of all the guests.

What a guy.

Moreover, whilst this is going on, other people associated to Logan have a pretty bold time of it also. Kane Kilgore, Black King of the Hellfire club, recruits some new adamantium-based bandits. Papa Logan meets some of his grandkids in Hell. A fat man eats Wolverine-road kill in Canada. Melita Garner joins the Seraph. And Yukio gives Amiko some motherly advice.

What is the most memorable SENTENCE OR CONVERSATION spoken in this issue?

Much of this comic was filled with the usual type of witty banter that I really like. But the clincher for me was the conversation between Yukio and Amiko.

YUKIO: And where do you think you're going young lady?

AMIKO: Police are reporting a public brawl at a fury bar in Kabukicho. I'm gonna go kick some anthropomorphic perverts in the face.

YUKIO: Not just the face, Amiko. You need to work more on your body shots.

AMIKO: Yes, ninja Mother.

Oh! I wished that my Mum was a ninja too, ha!

What was the BEST thing about this issue?

Conceptually, this story was a collection of scenes cobbled together, just to conclude some finality to Jason Aarons run on this title. OK, I know that this may sound like a negative thing in retrospect. But in a strange way, that's what has made this particular story that much more congenial - the conclusion. As well as it's tongue and cheek tone of course.

What was the WORST thing about this issue?

I have one small silly gripe really. Why all the artists? Fair enough, I can understand that variety is the spice of life, and all the artists really did a good job on this book. But then again I am sure I would have gotten the same level of enjoyment with only Steve Dillon's work.

What was the most CREATIVE thing about this issue?

STORY: Writer, Jason Aaron, has a very nice knack at capturing the mundane, and then transposing it onto the superhero world. For example, in this issue, some of the villains at the party were moaning about finger food and stuff. This is what I am talking about. And this is why it is a shame to see him go.

Don't worry; I'm not going to... BOOOO-HOOOO! LIFE'S SO CRUEL!!!!!

ART: As I mentioned previously, I was not that keep with the artists of many colours upon this book. But that does not imply that I did not appreciate their work. Steve Dillon's stuff has always made me smile since his 'Preacher' days. Ron and Paul's pencils are very polished. Plus it was very nice to see Dave, Steven, Renato, Mike, Daniel, and Jefte, add their contributions as well.

If you had to CAST TWO CHARACTERS in this comic book, who would they be and why?

BIG FAT MAN EATING ROAD-KILL: Although he is dead now, I am sure that if he was alive, British Wrester, Giant Haystacks, would do this hungry heavy-man some justice.

THE BAR-MAN: As soon as he gave Logan his glass of bear, I thought to myself "Shit! Its Kyle Gass from 'Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny'".  Or words to that effect.

If this issue had a MOVIE TAG LINE, what would it be?

Sabertooth Is Having A Party, And Everybody Is Having A SMASHING Time Of 'Snitt'.

If this issue were a MOVIE, an OBJECT, or a piece of MUSIC, what would that be and why? 

This tale reminded me of when a 'special guest star' turns up on a hit sit-come. Like 'Friends' for example...

Ha! They steal the show.

FINAL thoughts...

It is a shame to see Jason Aaron go, huh? Like most comic book creators; when he is good he is good. And when he is bad he is bad. Still, so aren't we all, huh? I just wish his well with all of his future endeavors, just as I wish that the next creative team will be able to prove their worth on this title as Jason has before them.
