This Star Wars-themed commercial was made by Pepsi to “celebrate” the release of Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith. Don’t you just love Yoda and his mind games? Although, one would think that the Master wouldn’t steal food from other people, especially mere mortals.
The Force: Volkswagen Commercial
Perhaps the most loved of all Star Wars-themed commercials, Volkswagen’s take on The Force has enjoyed tens of millions of views on YouTube alone. Who can resist a little – literally – Darth Vader taking on the 2012 Passat? Aired during the Super Bowl in 2011, the kid – and the ad – certainly captured the hearts of everyone. Even those of non-Star Wars fans.
The Bark Side
Somebody at Volkswagen must be a hardcore Star Wars fan. After the huge success that was The Force commercial, the auto manufacturer made another related ad, but this time taking advantage of another creature that people just can’t resist: dogs. What makes this commercial amusing is that rather familiar tune that the canines are barking to…dare I say you don’t have to guess what it is? Come over to the Bark Side, folks.
Star Wars Duel - Feel the Force Trailer
Microsoft took on the help of Chris Pratt, now known the world over as Star-Lord, to play the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi. In the ad, he goes up against Darth Vader himself. The ad was launched in 2012 to promote the Xbox 360 Star Wars Kinect. Makes sense.
Star Wars Adidas Originals
Just like the Super Bowl, the World Cup always brings out the best ads for us to enjoy. For the 2010 World Cup, Adidas went all out with The Force and asked for the aid of Daft Punk, David Beckham, Snoop Dogg, Franz Beckenbauer, Noel Gallagher, Neil Armstrong, among others, to recreate the Cantina sequence. Watch the video, and see why this is one of the best Star Wars-themed ads out there.
