It has been said that parody is the best form of flattery, as this style of entertainment has that ability to satirise, familiarise, and highlight certain attributes someone might possess. But as far as I'm concerned, nuh-nuh-nuh, blah-blah-blah, bing-bang-bong, now check out the following satirical video clips or else I may say something stupid. I thank you.
Only Fools and Horses Christmas Special: A Dynamic Duo Of The Peckham Variety
OK. I must admit. On a technical level I wouldn't necessarily call this scene a direct superhero satire. But come off it. You can't help but laugh at the sight of David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst dressing up as Batman and Robin. Besides, being a South Londoner, it would be bloody rude of me if I didn't add them to this list, eh?
College Humor: Who's Batman?
To some, College Humor
is a great website you can peruse whilst you're studying at college. To others,
College Humor is a fantastic website you can peruse whilst you're not studying
at college. Yet to me, College Humor says it best, when it says it with Batman.

SNL: The Superhero Party
When you hear such luminous names as Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, and Bill Murray, you can't help but think of such films as 'Caddyshack' and 'Blues
Brothers'. Right? Wrong. In the eyes of the seventies SNL generation, Aykroyd, Belushi,
and Murray, will always be the Flash, the Hulk, and Superman. Say no more.
Comic Relief: Spider Plant Man
I'm sure you'll agree with me when I say giving to charity is
always a good thing to do. But do you know what's even better? Giving to charity whilst
watching a funny superhero satire!! Thanks Mister Bean
Superhero Cafe: Tea For Two, Anyone?
Now how can I comprise a list of superhero related spoofs,
without mentioning Superhero Cafe? Well, I suppose I can. Can't I? I'll just gloss
over it without referring to it at all. But then again, if I do that, how will
I be able to look at myself in the mirror? I can't. Can I? Except when I
utter their token catchphrase, 'I'm Batman'
The Kenny Everett Television Show: Spiderman Vs His Bladder
Broadcaster to some, comedian to others, yet to me, our
Kenny will always be that funny poof from the television and radio, who refused
to take the piss out of Spiderman. Damn. And he had such a wonderful beard.
SPITTING IMAGE: Spitting With A Stiff Upper Lip
[Sorry. I was unable to find Spitting Image's take on the Adam West Batman. But I'm sure this would suffice]
During the mid eighties and early nineties, there was only one show on British television that had their finger firmly on the satirical pulse. Be it
commenting on the ever dysfunctional state of the Royal family, or just showing how politicians are a right ravenous breed, one way or another Spitting Image spat into the face of comedy. Lemon scented, of course. They weren't bitter.
Not a bad list of spoofs, eh? But if you think you can do
better, please feel free to drop me a line. Not a fishing line. Preferably
something less smelly. Amen.
