COMICONN, 2017, A SHOW FOR THE FANS BY THE FANS

Altered Reality Entertainment are proud to present their newest gala event, ComiCONN, 2017: A show for the fans by the fans. It will be held at the prestigious Foxwoods Resort Casino and Hotel, Mashantucket, Connecticut, from the 10th of June to the 11th of June, 2017.

Now just like many of the other events managed by Altered Reality, this one will also include all of the aspects that fans have come to expect from a comic con: Such as (1) Celebrity appearances from both the big and small screen; (2) Industry-leading comic book artists from each of the top names; (3) Some of the best toy and collectible vendors in the business; as well as (4) The ever-popular cosplay competitions and events.

The first guest announced for the two-day convention is none other than the professional wrestling manager / wrestler, Ric Flair. With a career that spans forty years, The WWE recognizes Flair as a 16-time World Champion, and the only 2-time inductee in the history of the WWE Hall of Fame. Flair has served as the main event on WrestleMania and was the first WCW World Heavyweight Champion. Commonly known as the "Nature Boy," Flair's legacy establishes him as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time.

Some of the other guests that have been announced include:

• Jim Shooter: Former editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics and current editor-in-chief at Valiant Comics, Jim is also known for writing such titles as The Amazing Spider-Man, The Avengers, and Daredevil.
• Amy Dumas: Amy was a professional wrestler with the WWE from 2000 to 2006. She was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2014, won the WWE Women's Championship four times, and entertained fans as part of Team Xtreme.
• Jason David Frank: Apart from being an established American actor and professional mixed martial artist, Jason is more widely known for his portrayal of Tommy Oliver, the original Green Ranger from the Power Rangers TV series.

Additional guests will be announced as the year progresses towards ComiCONN, 2017.

While you're at the con don't forget to stop by the booth belonging to the state’s Outreach Partner for the National Institute of Mental Health, namely, NAMI Connecticut. The con is going to be dedicated to the memory of the late, great, Carrie Fisher, and they've partnered up with NAMI to show their respect. Growing from a small group of family members to a state-wide organization, NAMI Connecticut has been operating in the state for over 30 years, offering support, education, and advocacy related to mental health concerns to family members, people living with mental health challenges, and the community at large.

Where: Foxwoods Resort Casino and Hotel, 350 Trolley Line Boulevard, Mashantucket, Connecticut.

When: It will start on the 10th of June and end on the 11th of June, 2017. The doors will be open at 10am each day, although they will close at 7pm on the Saturday and 5pm on the Sunday.

How Much: Tickets can be purchased from the convention's website, and will cost in the region of $10 to $45, depending on your age range and when you'd like to attend. A VIP pass is also available at $99.
