JESSICA, OUT OF THE CLOSET - VINTAGE GLAMOUR WITH A TOUCH OF LESBIAN CHIC

For many years I have been watching a lesbian on the internet. No. Wait a minute! Please allow me to rephrase that. For many years I have been watching a wonderful lesbian and her awesome lesbian friends prancing about on the internet. No. That doesn't sound quite right, either. So how about I just shut my gob and allow my good friend Jessica to explain to us what her amazing youtube channel is all about. Jessica, it's now over to you.





1) What are your own origins, Jessica?   After obtaining a Film Degree from university I did some work on television and eventually decided to make my own youtube channel. Originally I posted movie reviews about my favourite classic films (I was doing a TV film review show at the time called Movie Line).

2) What inspired you to create your own youtube channel, ‘Jessica, Out Of The Closet’?   I was inspired by my love for classic films and vintage fashion. Although I started as a movie reviewer I have now expanded to do lifestyle vlogs and beauty in a vintage / retro style. But that said, I still keep on writing movie reviews in my blog, jessicaoutofthecloset.co.uk

3) In your own words how would you describe your blog / vlog?   My tagline is, "The jolly lesbian version of a vintage Hollywood sweetheart!".

4) What song would you say best represents your channel and why?   'Cheerleader' by Omi, simply because my videos are very positive and upbeat. I was also a cheerleader at university!

5) If you could get a celebrity – either living or dead – to promote your wares, who would you choose, and why would you want to choose this particular person?   Lauren Bacall, because I would buy anything from her. 

6) What have you learnt about yourself through this endeavour?   I have learned not to pay attention to any negative or abusive comments I receive, and I automatically delete them. There is no place for homophobia, sexism, or ableism on my channel! 

7) During your time in this field, what is the one thing that has kept you in good stead?   My wonderful wife, she makes me happy everyday and helps me realise what is really important in life. Plus, sometimes she just takes the computer away from me, ha!

8) If you had a personal motto, what would it be?   "Because you might as well bloody get on with it!"
