Have you ever wondered what's the most successful movie in a franchise? Or at the very least, have you ever been slightly curious about which series of movies are rated higher than the rest? Well, if so, then you might like to check out the following study to find out the answer.





You see, not so long ago, our pals over at Uswitch decided to discover what franchise is the most highly-rated amongst the 20 highest-grossing movie franchises of all time. In order to do this, though, they had to work out the average movie score for each of these franchises by combining and calculating the IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, and Metacritic score for each movie associated with each franchise. Then once they did that, afterwards, they ranked their results accordingly.
