The 5th of October, 2022, marks the 60th anniversary for the James Bond film franchise. So, to celebrate, Decca Records has released an album featuring the iconic themes from each Bond film, 25 in total, all expertly reimagined by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
The album, aptly titled, 'Bond 25', was recorded in 2019 at Abbey Road Studios, London, and includes new arrangements for each film's title theme, such as 'Thunderball' (1965), 'Live and Let Die' (1973), and 'GoldenEye' (1995). The album's tracklist (see below) has been arranged in chronological order, starting from the first Bond film, 'Dr. No' (1962), all the way to the most recent one, 'No Time to Die' (2021), and it's available on CD, vinyl, and digital formats.
In addition to this, Decca Records has also released, 'Bond 25 CD Bundle' edition. It contains the previously mentioned album, 'Bond 25', along with Hans Zimmer's album for the latest James Bond film, 'No Time to Die', which features Billie Eilish's electrifying title track as well as scores from the composers, Johnny Marr and Steve Mazzaro.
