THE ROYAL MAIL CELEBRATES THE 60TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE X-MEN WITH A SPECIALLY DESIGNED STAMP COLLECTION

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of Marvel's merry band of mutants, the X-Men, the Royal Mail has issued a specially designed stamp collection featuring characters associated with the team. Jean Grey: Created in 1963 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby

Iceman: Created in 1963 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby

Wolverine: Created in 1974 by Roy Thomas, Len Wein, and John Romita Sr.

Storm: Created in 1975 by Len Wein and Dave Cockrum

Kitty Pryde: Created in 1980 by Chris Claremont and John Byrne

Rogue: Created in 1981 by Chris Claremont and Michael Golden

As an extra added bonus, a Miniature Sheet of stamps showcasing five villains associated with the X-Men has also been included in the collection, namely Juggernaut, Mystique, Magneto, Emma Frost, and Sabretooth, along with an introduction written by the author, Alan Cowsill, which describes all of the characters on display.
