In June, 1938, Superman made his comic book debut in the first issue of 'Action Comics'. The issue sports a very memorable cover drawn by the artist, Joe Shuster, which depicts Superman lifting a green car over his head (presumably, a 1937 DeSoto), while the people around him either run or try to hide in fear. In fact, the aforementioned cover has become so memorable, that since its release, a number of other artists have drawn similar covers that attempt to match its veracity. Here 👇, check out the following image gallery to see a selection of these covers.
