When I was a kid, I always wanted to create and publish my very own comic book. Admittedly, I didn't know why I wanted to create a comic book. Not totally, anyway. But despite this, I spent many an hour writing, drawing, and conjuring up new ideas to transpose onto the printed page. After a while, though, my dreams of becoming a comic book creator were gradually overtaken by my need to become a comic book collector. In fact, my dreams of creating a comic book almost faded away, until early last year when I finally decided to channel my energies into creating a fun comic book anthology I'm hoping many of you might want to pick up.
It's called, 'Laughter, Love, and Legacy: Three Stories About Life', and it contains three separate stories written by me, David Lee Andrews, and illustrated by a number of different artists. The first story, Buy One…, chronicles the evolution of the double act. The second story, What's 'Love' Got To Do With It?, revolves around two thieves who were hired to steal the same diamond. And the third story in the aforementioned anthology, Sharon, focuses on a confrontation between a middle-aged woman and a Roman centurion. Each story in the anthology touches upon a different aspect of life and will hopefully entertain you, the reader. But before you consider picking up a copy (which is available now in both digital and physical formats), here ๐, have a look at the first page for each of these stories, along with a brief description of the corresponding artist(s).
Sugarnuts Studio consists of a team of artists based in Indonesia who were first formed in 2016. They specialize in many forms of illustration and provide a variety of different design services. They've also worked with people from all around the world and are open to new projects.
Sahrul Gunawan is a freelance artist from Indonesia who specializes in illustration and animation. Since 2017, he's earned national recognition in his home country by having his work printed in various publications. He has also published his own stories and worked with people from other countries.
Rod Rodollfo is a professional comic book artist from Brazil who has over ten years of experience working with established publishers like Dynamite, Zenescope, and many independent clients. He also creates his own comic books and is open to working with others.
So, what do you think, folks? What do you think of this quick look at 'Laughter, Love, and Legacy: Three Stories About Life'? Well, I hope you like what you've seen so far and would consider picking up a copy (click here for further information).
